Master Documents

The Master Document Storage area in Paperclip provides a single, centralised library where your company’s controlled documents are stored, maintained, and accessed. It ensures that all staff and subcontractors always use the current, approved versions of every required form, policy, or template.

Under the MCS 2025 Installer Operating Requirements (IOR §4), every certified contractor must operate a documented management system that includes full document control. This means:

All operational and compliance documents (e.g. Risk & Method Statements, Design Sheets, Handover Packs, Warranties, Contracts, etc.) must be held in one controlled location.

Current versions must be available at the point of use for all relevant staff.

Out-of-date or superseded documents must be withdrawn from circulation to prevent accidental use.

Each controlled document must display a version number, issue date, and authorisation record.

Paperclip pre-populates the Master Document Storage area with the latest free-to-use industry documents—including MCS templates, Consumer Code forms (HIES / RECC), and standard risk or commissioning templates.
This gives every installer an immediate, compliant baseline and allows businesses to upload their own branded or company-specific versions where required.

The Master Document Storage area:

  • Guarantees your team is always working from the latest approved templates.
  • Demonstrates full compliance with MCS 2025, HIES, and RECC requirements for document control.
  • Provides a clear audit trail for version management and authorisation.
  • Removes duplication and confusion between departments or sites.
  • Keeps all project documentation linked to one master source for consistency and quality assurance.

In summary:
The Master Document Storage section exists to maintain one central source of truth for all controlled documentation across your business. Paperclip handles the version control and pre-loads standard industry documents so you can focus on managing your installations, confident that your documentation remains consistent, compliant, and audit-ready.
